Thailand Bound: The Preparation

Thailand Bound: The Preparation

You have a long vacation ahead and you want to explore a whole new different culture while still enjoying as much a life in the city as possible. Why not try Bangkok, The Land of Smiles and endless adventures?

Bangkok has been tagged as one of the best cities in the world, with a complete mix of world class entertainment, well preserved historical and cultural sites, extravagant shopping malls, and an endless variety of Thai Cuisine from streets to restaurants for your adventurous tongue.

Before planning your trip however, here are a few notes you can remember to make your stay as enjoyable as possible:

1.     Do your research. There are numerous things to see in Bangkok so you need to know where you want to go and what you want to see because of the limitation of time. Therefore, you should not waste even a minute of your stay here in Thailand.

2.     Prepare your passport and Visa (if you need one) along with your plane ticket and other necessary travel documents.

3.     Find a hotel with good location for the places you want to visit. You wouldn’t want to spend your vacation on a taxi because the hotel you booked is so inaccessible it’s not even in the map.

4.     Familiarize yourself with local laws and cultural behavior. Though Thai people are naturally friendly and accommodating, it is still best to show your respect.

5.     Check the weather frequently, the weather in Thailand is usually sunny though the rainy season may stretch from June to November.

6.     Try to learn some basic Thai words. Learning a new language is always a fun!

7.     Pack light; as Bangkok malls, weekend markets, and night markets are really tempting and you may find yourself in excess baggage situation when you go home.

8.     Set sail to the land of smiles and enjoy your vacation!
